What’s Your New Year’s Resolution?

Normally I’m one to say that I don’t prefer to set a “new year’s resolution” because I can make changes at any point in time…. Why wait for a new year to do it? But honestly I think that way of thinking is flawed. There’s no harm in trying to make a change and those who keep talking negatively about people who use a new year as inspiration to get in the gym and/or diet are pretty annoying. Everyone should be on a quest to make their life better and no one has a right to judge.

My plan is to make 2012 one of the most creative and productive years of my life.

HERE’S MY LIST OF GOALS FOR THE YEAR

 • Become a dispatcher
 • Learn to knit
 • Learn to crochet
 • Start painting
 • Get more journalistic experience, build an online portfolio
 • Get more freelance PR work
 • Read the bible more

What are some of your goals for the year? And how will you make sure you accomplish them?

I don’t like how everyone is all obsessed with their offspring, but there’s no doubt that this song is super awesome.

Jay-Z | Glory feat. (Blue Ivy Carter)

You can hear Blue Ivy crying at the end.

This is one of the sweetest things i’ve ever heard. Blue is loved, thats for damn sure <3

Instagram help?!?

Is there a free version of the instagram apps PicFrame, Diptic, or Photoshake out there? If so, where can a sister find it?

DEAR FASHION GURUS OUT THERE:

Please send me some tips about what to wear for a job interview for a flight attendant position. I want to look professional, but still show that I have a vibrant personality. Any ideas?

Who needs ice cream when you can have frozen bananas? My family enjoyed these delicious treats for desserts!
2 bananas
Fage Total 0% Greek Yogurt
crushed almonds
cinnamon
Line a tray with parchment paper.
Mix the Greek yogurt and cinnamon together.
Peel the bananas.
Cut off an end off from each banana, then insert the popsicle sticks.
Coat the bananas in Greek yogurt and almonds.
Lay the bananas on the parchment paper and freeze for 45-55 minutes. The bananas will be creamy and firm, but not completely frozen.

Damn. This looks hella good.

ditto… i’m so gonna try this!

It saddens me that some women in this world are willing to pay over $400 to get a hair weave leaving less than $100 in their checking account. Is ”looking cute” really that serious?
